The Society of Family Planning: Closing in on our first decade and still going strong

As the Society of Family Planning (SFP) prepares to mark its 10th anniversary next year, I wish to take this opportunity — on behalf of the organization's board, staff and fellows — to look back at what we have achieved in the last decade. What began as a small academic society comprised of the 18 family planning fellowship directors as founding members and 23 allied researchers as charter members has grown into a multidisciplinary society with nearly 500 fellows.
