Doane forecasts lower uS corn plantings in 2015

US corn plantings in 2015 could fall by more than 3m acres to 87m, according to research company Doane's Planting Inten- tions Survey. The lost corn acreage is expected to primarily shift to soyabeans, according to the data released last week. Doane expects planted acres for that crop to rise over 3m acres to 86.8m.
