First Solar to Supply PV Solar Panels for 200-MW Phase 2 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

First Solar of the United States has been awarded a contract by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for the supply of photovoltaic (PV) solar modules for phase 2 of the development of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will add capacity of 200 MW. At the beginning of this year DEWA signed a contract with a consortium composed of Saudi Arabia’s International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) and the Spanish company TSK Energia e Desenvolvimento for the execution of this phase (AOG, 1 Feb., 2015).
