Port Kembla shipments halve in three months

Coal shipments from Port Kembla in Australia’s New SouthWales (NSW) state fell to a one-year low in November, hit bysupply drops at Australian producer South 32’s Appin cokingcoal mine and Thai-owned Centennial’s thermal coal mines.Port Kembla shipped 460,486t in November, down by29.8pc from 655,540t in October and less than half thelevel of 970,701t in August. Shipments were well below theaverage of 884,555 t/month in the first 10 months of 2016.
