US coal markets flat in scant trade

US over-the-counter coal markets were unchanged today, with no deals heard to have changed hands. Many industry members are traveling to a coal conference in Florida, which may be behind some of today's lack of activity. But limited utility demand and export opportunities remain the primary reasons for the illiquid market.
