Pittsburgh seam coal markets shed about l dollars/short ton or more this week as supply increasingly exceeded demand for eastern US generators. Prompt-quarter coal with 13,000 Btu/lb and 41b SO_2/ mmBtu dropped by 750 on the week to 54 dollars/st, while calendar year 2013 was down 1 dollars at 58.75 dollars/st. The 2014 strip surrendered 1.25 dollars week over week at 60.50 dollars/st, and calendar 2015 lost 1.40 dollars at 62.50 dollars/st.
