Two domestic trade associations have formally aligned with their international counterparts to address industry challenges and to promote the continued use of lead as a raw material in batteries.The U.S.-based Battery Council International (BCI), Chicago, and the Association of Battery Recyclers (ABR), which has member companies across North America, have officially joined forces with the London-based International Lead Association and Brussels-based EUROBAT to unify their messaging and address lead batteries' usage amid increasing competition with new technologies and alternatives throughout the industry.
