A group of Baltimore men are headed to prison after admitting to participation in a pair of longstanding schemes that cost the city over $7 million in lost revenue from stolen scrap metal and reduced trash-disposal fees.William Nemec Sr., a former Baltimore city landfill supervisor, was sentenced Feb. 3 to 78 months in prison and ordered to pay $6 million in restitution after he pleaded guilty to one count of bribery involving a program receiving federal funds, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland.
