Weber Metals to install closed-die forging press

Weber Metals Inc. is adding a GUF4-type hydraulic closed-die forging press at its Paramount, Calif., facility, which will allow the company to produce extra-large forgings for the aerospace industry.The pit-mounted press, which will have a force of 54,000 tons, will produce extra-large hot and cold forgings made of nickel and titanium-based alloys.
