Codelco mine sees hefty damage due to ‘sabotage’

Striking contract workers cut a conveyor belt used to transport ore from the mine, “aiming to halt the continuity of the ramp-up of the operations,” the state-owned Chilean miner said, adding that the damage could lead to a production loss of about 70 tonnes per day of fie copper.
