It was built in 2007 as part of anambitious growth plan in North America byRussian steelmaker Severstal. The Columbusminimill has 3.4 million tons of annual hotrollproduction capacity and is one of the fewNorth American flat-roll mills with the abilityto produce both 76-inch-wide hot-roll and74-inch-wide cold-roll steel sheet.
