NAM joins steel, opposes EPA's regulation of GHGs

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has launched an initiative opposing what it calls over-regulation and new burdens imposed on U.S. manufacturers by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). NAM is, in effect, backing a long-held stance by the North American steel industry-specifically by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), Washington-opposing EPA regulation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from stationary sources, including steel mills, under the Clean Air Act.
