To the Editor: We thank Dr. Katz for his long letter regarding our recent paper (8). Dr. Katz presented two issues: one a methodological point and one concerning proglycogen (PG). With respect to PG, Dr. Katz points out that this acid-insoluble form of glycogen (PG) is not a "discrete species".
