China issues first manufacturing approvals for 2015

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued its first list of pesticide manufacturing approvals for 2015. The majority of the 231 authorisations are for pesticide processing or mixing of agrochemical compounds, while only three companies were granted approvals for the manufacture of active ingredients. The first came for Henan Yale Biotechnology, which was awarded aregisration for the insecticide, matrine (5% mother liquid). The second company was Yancheng South Chemicals, with four herbicide approvals: metamitron (90%), tebuthiuron (97%), imazapic (98%) and imazapyr (98%).
