Agro-Kanesho sales up 3% in 2014

Japanese agrochemical company Agro-Kanesho recorded consolidated sales of ￥13,700 million ($110.4 million at the current rate) in 2014, up 3% on the previous year. Non-consolidated sales rose by 0.8% to ￥11,300 million ($91.1 million). Exports grew by 22% to ￥1,200 million ($9.7 million). Steady growth of the acaricide, Kanemite (acequinocyl), contributed to the expansion of exports while domestic sales of the product decreased slightly. Sales of the fungicide, Morestan (quinomethionate), increased, while sales of other fungicides were similar to those in the previous year. Agro-Kanesho points to growth of the nematicides, Nemakick (imicyafos) and D-D (1,3-dichloropropene), while sales of the herbicides, Casoron (dichlobenil) and Mogeton (quinoclamine), decreased slightly.
