Coal production in the US is projected to total 725.9 million stin 2016, down 19% from last year, the Energy InformationAdministration’s monthly Short Term Energy Outlook showed Thursday.The agency expects production to fall across all basins,particularly in the western US, where production is projected todecline 21.7% from 2015.
