Europe-delivered CIF ARA thermal coal prices edged lower Friday, with market sources noting that supplydemand fundamentals remained bearish, while only a few players were active in the market. Platts assessed the price of CIF ARA physical thermal coal basis 6,000 kcal/kg NAR and for delivery within the next 15-60 day period at $58.25/mt, down 15 cents on-day and slipping $1.25 from last Friday.
