East Kentucky Power seeks term coal of up to 20,000 st/month for Spurlock

East Kentucky Power is accepting proposals for coal shipments starting in 2016 for up to 20,000 st/month for a term of two years or more, the co-op announced Wednesday. The coal is for units 3 (Gilbert) and 4 at its Spurlock station in northern Kentucky. The plant is able to receive coal by barge on the Ohio River at Milepost 414.1 and by rail at Charleston Bottoms, Kentucky, via CSX or TTI Railroad.
