Nova Scotia Power issues RFPs for low-sulfur coal, petcoke

Nova Scotia Power released Wednesday dual solicitations for low-sulfur coal for the second half of this year and 2016 and petroleum coke for 2016. The Halifax-based subsidiary of Emera is seeking 50,000 mt to 150,000 mt, plus or minus 20%, of low-sulfur coal in the third and fourth quarters of 2015 and 50,000 mt to 200,000 mt, plus or minus 20%, for delivery in all quarters of 2016.
