Thermal coal prices were rangebound in Asia trade Monday, despite Chinese miners raising domestic coal prices, due to high stockpiles and import quotas having been filled by utilities in the country, sources said. Platts/Fenwei's CFR South China or CCI 8 price for 5,500 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal was assessed at $64/mt Monday, excluding Chinese VAT, flat from last Friday.
