Australian-listed thermal coal producer New Hope Corp. has agreed to acquire Cockatoo Coal’s 51% interest in its North Surat joint venture in Queensland’s Surat coal field for A$25 million ($21.6 million), Cockatoo Coal said in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange Friday.
