During the mid-90's, Indian Industry, especially hydrocarbon sector graduated from conventional way of project execution to EPC mode mainly for their projects in refinery sector to meet the Supreme Court guidelines of achieving EURO II & III norms for petroleum products. This was the phase when the Oil Marketing Companies realised that the conventional way of executing projects on EPCM basis will not help them in achieving tight schedules of 18-20 months to complete the DHDS & Sulphur Recovery Projects.
