As part of its strategy to divest noncore businesses and reduce debt Rhodia SA has agreed to sell to Albemarle Corp its global organo-phosphorus and ammonium polyphosphate flame retardants (FR) business for applications in rigid and flexible polyurethane foams The deal which is still subject to regulatory approval is expected to close within the next three to six weeks.
