Ashland announces price increases

US-based speciality chemicals firm, Ashland, has announced price increases for several paint and coatings additives. Effective from October 1, prices will increase globally by 5% for its 'Aquaflow' nonionic synthetic associative thickeners; 'Stro-dex', 'DextroP and 'Zenix' phosphate ester surfactants; 'Advantage' and 'Drewplus' foam control agents; and 'pHLEX' pH neutralises. "This ac- tion is driven by manufacturing infrastructure needs, as well as escalating raw materials regulatory compliance costs," the company said in a statement.
