Strong industry participation at PCHi China 2016 despite slowdown worries

The economic slowdown in China does not seem to have any impact on the nation's personal care industry. This was quite evident from the robust industry participation at the recently concluded Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) annual trade event in Shanghai. The ninth edition of the show, organised by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE), reported a record number of visitors - at over 15,200 it was almost 65 percent more than last year. In this year's edition, a total of 442 exhibitors from 27 countries presented their innovations and products, of which, 97 were first time participants at the show. The expo - which lays claims to being China's largest cosmetics ingredients sourcing platform - brought together ingredient suppliers, distributors, packaging machinery providers, and service providers.
