摘要

The government has asked private firms to slash retail prices of non-urea fertilisers by up to Rs. 5,000 per tonne, in line with public-sector firms, or else it will cut down the subsidy provided to them. Retail prices of non-urea fertilisers such as Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP), Muriate of Potash (MoP) and NPK are decontrolled and are determined by the manufacturers, while the Centre gives them fixed subsidy each year.
