Chinese PDH unit based on Clariant catalyst reports successful operation

Clariant has announced that the first 'Catofin' propane dehydrogena-tion (PDH) plant to use its Heat Generating Material (HGM) is operating successfully in China. The PDH plant of Ningbo Haiyue New Material Co. Ltd. in Ningbo City is producing 600,000-tpa of propylene using the CB&I 'Catofin' catalytic dehydroge-nation process, based on Clariant's 'Catofin' catalyst.
