Celestial Biologicais, GE Healthcare to set up plasma fractionation facility

Celestial Biologicals Ltd (CBL), an associate company of Intas Biopharma-ceuticals Ltd, and GE Healthcare, will jointly to set up India's first GMP-com-pliant plasma fractionation facility in Ahmedabad. The fully-integrated chro-matography-based plasma fractionation facility, involving an investment of Rs. 100-120-crore over the next two years, will be functional by early-2010, the company said. It would help patients with blood/immunity disorders or severe blood loss.
