BASF expands capacity for complexing agents with new German plant

BASF is set to consolidate its position as one of the world's leading complexing agent producers,with the construction of a new world-scale plant at Ludwigshafen,Germany,for producing methylglycinedi-acetic acid-its sustainable complexing agent sold under the brand name'Trilon M'.Upon completion of the plant in 2010,BASF will have a worldwide capacity of 120,000-tpa for its complete range of complexing agents.Strong performance profile and eco-friendliness of'Trilon M'has resulted in increased sales,the company said.
