Haldia Petrochemicals posts highest monthly sales of polymer in November

Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd (HPL) has announced a sudden reversal in the sluggish petrochemical products demand scenario beginning mid-November, especially the third week of November. This has resulted in the highest ever monthly sales of polymer by HPL in November. A company release said the sluggish demand scenario, coupled with steep international prices, had previously forced HPL to incur heavy inventory losses and cut down production to 80% of the operating rate during the last few months. As the demand scenario suddenly improved, HPL has reportedly enhanced production.
