Dow Chemical reaches settlement with US SEC on improper payments made by Indian joint venture

Dow Chemical has reached a settlement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC)resolving issues arising from allegations of payments to Government officials in India by De-Nocil Crop Protection Ltd,a third-tier joint venture subsidiary of Dow AgroSciences LLC,itself a second-tier wholly-owned subsidiary of Dow Chemical.According to a press release issued by Dow Chemicals,the payments were made without the authorisation or knowledge of Dow or Dow AgroSciences employees in the US."
