Department of Fertilizers likely to concede to industry's demands in new pricing scheme

In the face of concerted pressure from the fertiliser industry,the Department of Fertilizers(DoF)has finally agreed to revert to the six-group configuration envisaged earlier for the Phase-Ill period of the New Pricing Policy(NPS).The updating of costs is likely to be done as of 2002-03.The energy efficiency norm is also to be pegged to that year.
