Market remains dull with low offtake due festive mood;Butanol prices drop

With the onset of the Diwali festival,the Mumbai Chemicals market remained dull with very low trading activity taking place.Among the significant developments in the week was the decline in Butanol prices,following a price reduction by manufacturers by Rs.7/8.Thedomestic price prevailed at Rs.71(basic).Though the prices of other solvents remained the same as last fortnight,the market was reported to be offering discounts in the range of Rs.2-4 due to poor offtake.
