NEW YORK SET TO ENACT FRACKING MORATORIUM

The New York State Assembly has approved a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing, or tracking, until May 15, 2011 to allow more analysis of the controversial drilling tech nique New York's Governor David Paterson (D) is not expected to veto the measure, despite efforts by industry groups which say it could cost the state thousands ot jobs.
