The field of spiritual and transpersonal psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can be dividedinto three major categories: research of near-death and out-of-body experiences; past lifeexperiences; and spiritual interpretations in accordance with the patient's beliefs. Thepresent article suggests a fourth category, spiritual interpretations not in accordance withthe patient's beliefs. Three cases are reported, and the curative force of the interpretationsis discussed.
