Methods and software means for forming equivalent circuits of power pools on the basis of modern technologies

Methodical problems of network and level equivalent circuit construction for calculating steady-state and transient operating conditions of power systems are considered. A new method of level-network equivalent circuit construction is proposed which combines positive properties of both methods. On the basis of a series of comparative calculations for an actual power pool the recommendations for a technologist in using the new method are given. An experience of the Control Center of the power pool in organizing a library of calculation circuits on the basis of the Oracle Data Base is analysed.
