摘要

The critical analysis of experimental data on the effect of irradiation with intense electron beams of microsecond duration on the physical and chemical state of surface layers and service properties of aircraft engine blades produced from refractory alloys was carried out, The main attention was concentrated to the processes taking place into the surface layer during irradiation. The possibility of pulsed electron beam application for decision of the most important problems of aircraft engine building was discussed. They are surface modification of blades for improvement of their service properties of these components determining the operating duration of engines, mostly. It is shown, that GESA-1 and GESA-2 accelerators developed in the D. V. Efremov Institute of electro-physical apparatura are good prototypes of the industrial installations which can be introduced into aircraft machine building.
