摘要

A model is offered consisting of two differential equations, which enables analysis of horizontal piston movement in high-speed diesel engine cylinder. Unlike known models, the one in question accounts for the piston moment of inertia as well as thermal, manufacturing process-related, and contact deformations of a piston and a cylinder liner. The example of calculations based on the above model is demonstrated applied to 12HH 18/20 engine.
