摘要

New approach to wear resistance of tool cutting materials evaluation is proposed. It's considered in the context of electronic structure defined by density of electronic states, Fermi energy, partial charge determination and its derivative - absolute thermo EMF. For wear resistance determination at abrasive wear-out analytical dependence is obtained and comparison of theoretical estimates with experiment for tungsten carbide is carried out.
