Theoretical grounds of efficiency of construction of deterministic-statistical models in the form of product of power functions are presented. The adequacy of the constructed mathematical models combining the advantages of deterministic (reflection of physical processes and versatility) and statistic (simplicity and high accuracy) models was checked on the example of the CO{sub}2 welding. The fields of application of models are shown.
