Phenylene diamine (PPD) is the most frequent sensitizer in hair dyes with increasing concentrations found in the darker shades. A further well-documented source of exposure is from semi-permanent henna tattooing, a popular trend of recent years . We report a case of sen-sitization and allergic reaction to PPD from use of tinting mascara. eyelash; hair loss; mascara; p-phenyiene diamine.
