An implementation of reconfigurable coprocessor system with reconfigurable CPU corresponding to application programs

The amount of data to be processed by an application program (AP) is increasing at a high rate. As a result, the general purpose CPU architectures are losing their high performance by only expanding their instruction sets. This paper proposes a reconfigurable system that is composed of the following tow parts; a reconfigurable CPU and a reconfigurable coprocessor. The former part is the main party of the proposed system specially corresponding to an AP by using a reconfigurable device. The latter part is a specific part to support the former part as a specially designed coprocessor using another reconfigurable device.
