Forecast International projects that the DISA will spend approximately $11.4 million on its Net-Centric Enterprise Services program over the next decade. This projected funding stream is being driven by the U.S. DoD's desire to fight wars in a network-centric manner. In FY16, expect the NCES program to continue analyzing industry standards and specifications in order to enhance and add functionality to existing operational enterprise services to keep them current with evolving technologies. The Net-Centric Enterprise Services program of the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is charged with developing a common set of services and applications to help individuals locate and share information on the Global Information Grid (GIG). The NCES program will also develop tools to enable the U.S. Department of Defense to monitor and manage GIG performance and problems.
