This paper focuses mainly on the effects of the temperature of hot isostatic pressing (HIP) procedure on cast Inconel 718 superalloy. Four different HIP temperatures were used, including 1150, 1175, 1180 and 1205℃. The HIP pressure was maintained at 1000bar (98.6 Mpa) and the soaking time was 2 hours. Both room and high temperature tensile tests were used to evaluate the effects of HIP temperature on cast Inconel 718 superalloy. Porosity test and microstructure examination were performed. The results showed that the optimum process temperature of HIP for cast Inconel 718 superalloy is 1180℃. It can signification reduced porosity and improve the microstructure segregation of cast Inconel 718 superalloy. For the tension test at a fast strain rate (0.001/s) that it increased the tensile strength by 18.3% at room temperature, 7.4% at 540℃, and 3.8% at 650℃. And the elongation increases 55.6% at room temperature, 109.7% at 540℃, 19.9 at 650℃. While at a very slow strain rate (0.0001/s), it increased the tensile strength by 0.04% at room temperature and 5.1% at 540℃. And the elongation increases 15.5% at room temperature, 216.2% at 540℃.
