摘要

The objective of this study is to obtain the optimum darn and weir geometry in the tundish at POSCO stainless steelmaking plant. Water model experiments are carried out with observing residence time distribution(RTD) curves and flow visualization. Three-dimensional turbulent analysis has been calculated to simulate the RTD, velocity profile, tracer trajectories, inclusion particle removal and temperature profile in continuous casting tundish using FLOW-3D.
