摘要

Photoexcited states on rutile TiO_2 (HO) surface have been examined with ultrahigh vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy. Mesoscopic as well as atomic level excitation was observed. The observed excitation appeared to be associated with oxygen deficiency on the surface. The results were interpreted in terms of reported experimental as well as theoretical band structures.
