The effect of BAP on plant accumulation of crude protein inoculated by various strains of Rhizobium meliloti against the background of low doses of mineral nitrogen was investigated when cultivating seed lucerne. It has been shown that plants grown against the background of 0.25 normal of mineral nitrogen are characterized by the higher nitrogen fixing artivity and higher content of crude protein in comparison with those grown on 0.5 normal. It has been found that after 3 days of 2-fold plant treatment with growth stimulator at the stages of shooting and budding the content of crude protein is decreased in the above ground mass of lucerne inoculated with the investigated strains 425a, M4-7, M6-2 against the background of both nitrogen doses. BAP application provided the increase in seed yield in all variants in fact. BAP influence on some physiological and biochemical processes within lucerne is discussed.
