It is shown that frequency of mutations of the symbiotic features at the transposon mutagenesis depends on peculiarity of genome of Rhizobium meliloti strains. The frequency of appearance of the strains with higher effectivity of symbiosis with Medicago sativa L. draws near 4%. The correlation of activity of the nitrogen fixation with a crop of green mass is positive. It is determined that different lucerne varieties differ in their reaction to infection by different strains. It is established that the host-plant plays a main part in the relative determination of efficiency of the symbiotic systems, which are investigated.
