摘要

The halves of petioles of mature leaves have been removed by longitudinal section in platitude of symmetry from leaf plate to root in the middle of vegetative season. It was shown no differences between control and experimental plants in Co_2 gas exchange, transpiration, contents of nitrogen, soluble sugars and starch in leaf plates and petioles in 20 days after treatment. It was concluded that sugar-beet petioeles have superfluous conductivity for water and assimilates. There was no evidence of intermediate storage of assimilates on the way from leaf plates to root.
