Some pharmacological properties of water extracts of the herbal mix 'Polestell' for pulmonary disease treatment

The new 4-component herbal mix, Polestell, is available for pulmonary disease treatment. It consists of the roots of Inula helenium, Polemonium caeruleum, Bergenia crassifolia and Stellaria dichotoma. In toxicity tests, aqueous extracts (1:50) of the mixture showed very low toxicity. The extracts showed a marked antihypoxic effect, as well as antiinflammatory, expectorant, sedative and moderate analgesic properties.
